What Cedar Design Studio collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. In plain language.

The short version

  • I only collect what I need to reply to you, book your call and deliver your project.
  • I never sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time.

01Who I am

This website, cedardesigns.biz, is run by Jeffrey Foli, trading as Cedar Design Studio, Plot No. 48, A&A Estate, Afienya, Ghana. I am responsible for the personal information collected through this site and through working with you.

I follow Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). If you are outside Ghana, I also aim to respect the privacy rights you have where you live.

02What I collect

Booking a callYour name, email, WhatsApp number (optional), project type and the time you pick.
WhatsApp, email & phoneYour number or address and whatever you choose to send me, such as project details, text and photos.
Working togetherBusiness details, content, logins and files you share for your website, and billing details for quotes and invoices.
Buying the PDF courseYour name, email and payment confirmation. Card and mobile money details are handled by the payment provider, not by me.
Visiting the siteBasic technical information your browser sends, such as device type, browser and pages viewed.

03Why I use it

  • To reply to your messages and hold the call you booked.
  • To prepare quotes, deliver your project and send invoices and payment reminders.
  • To look after your website after launch, if you are on a care plan.
  • To send the PDF course you bought and any updates to it.
  • To keep this site secure and working well.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations.

I only send marketing messages if you have agreed to them, and every message lets you opt out.

04Who else sees it

I use a small number of trusted services to run the business. They only receive what they need to do their job:

GoogleCalendar and email, for bookings and messages. Google Fonts, which loads the fonts on this site.
WhatsApp (Meta)When you message me or tap a WhatsApp button.
Website hostingThe company that hosts cedardesigns.biz stores the site and its server logs.
Payment providersSuch as Paystack or mobile money networks, when you pay a deposit, balance or buy the course.
TrustindexShows my Google reviews on this site.

Some of these services store information outside Ghana. I choose providers with recognised security standards. I may also share information if the law requires it.

05Client websites

When I build or look after your website, I may have access to its admin area, hosting and the information your visitors submit. I use that access only to do the work you asked for. I don't copy, use or share your customers' information for anything else.

You remain responsible for your own website's privacy policy. I'm happy to help you set one up.

06How long I keep it

  • Enquiries and bookings that don't become projects: up to 12 months.
  • Project files and messages: for as long as we work together, then up to 2 years in case you need them again.
  • Invoices and payment records: as long as Ghana's tax rules require.
  • Logins to your website: deleted or handed back when our work or care plan ends.

07Keeping it safe

This site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step verification where available, and client logins are stored in a secure password manager. No system is perfect, but if anything ever went wrong that affected you, I would tell you promptly.

08Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • Tell you what information I hold about you and send you a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete your information, unless I have to keep it by law.
  • Stop sending you marketing, or stop using your information for a particular purpose.

Message or email me (details below) and I'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to Ghana's Data Protection Commission.

09Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. This site uses cookies that WordPress and its plugins need to work, and the services above may set their own when their features load. If I add analytics or advertising cookies, I'll update this page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may stop working.

10Changes to this policy

I may update this page when the business or the law changes. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
